Deconstruction Process Information for Clients:

It is a relatively simple process to hire our deconstruction team, as far as the client is concerned.  A decon manager will meet with a potential client to view the house and discuss the process.  This process includes determining if everything in the house will be available to Habitat.

Once understood, the decon department can begin discussing the timing and the pricing of the potential deconstruction project.  Once the client agrees to go forward with the deconstruction, a 50% deposit of the agreed upon price is requested before the process can begin.  The remaining balance will be due once the job is complete and the client has received a list consisting of building materials and items taken to the ReStore for resale or reuse.  Decon will also list material that was unsalvageable and taken to the landfill.  This combined list will be very helpful to the client in determining the value of the material that was deconstructed from their house.
