How to Donate to Our Habitat ReStore

Are you getting ready to remodel your home? You know, that sofa really needs to be replaced. And that floor lamp always seems to be in the way. Don’t take it to the landfill; take it to the Habitat ReStore!

The Habitat for Humanity ReStore of Durham and Orange Counties is a donor-centric business. The store’s success and growth relies on the continuous flow of new and gently-used merchandise. The ReStore thrives on donations from both individuals and businesses. Here’s a quick breakdown of how individuals and businesses can both donate to the ReStore:

  1. Individuals: Your donations can be dropped off behind the store at our loading dock, Mondays-Saturdays from 10:00-6:00. There will be staff and/or volunteers on-site to help you unload your donations and provide you with a tax-deductible receipt.
Have an item too large to fit into your car? Our Habitat ReStore offers a FREE donation pickup service for all large item donations! Professional, trusted staff members (also known as Donation Ambassadors) will arrive during your scheduled time to remove your donated household items.
  2. Businesses: Is your business remodeling, downsizing or getting rid of some extra inventory? We have a Donations Manager, Alex Nickodem, who handles all large business donations. Alex will work closely with you throughout the process. We welcome business donations from locally owned stores all the way up to large corporations. Some of our top business donors include: Once and Again Consignment, Lowes Home Improvement, Fitch Lumber, Batteries Plus Blubs, Hilldrup, and Professional Builders Supply.
